Welcome to Elim

There is still a place where God provides.

Elim Tabernacle is a new work with an old message: Jesus Christ still saves, fills with the Holy Ghost, restores families, heals broken places and calls His people to holy and purposeful living. Whether you are rooted in church, returning after time away or simply looking for a place to encounter God, there is room for you at Elim.

“They came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees.”
Exodus 15:27
Our History
A ministry moment from the history of Elim Tabernacle
2017–Present Continuing the Work

We came home to finish what the Lord started.

In 2017, Pastor J. D. Charlot was joined in life and ministry by Elect-Lady Latosha Charlot, beginning a shared season of ministry in Houston. The Lord later led their family away from Houston for a season of pastoral service, growth and preparation.

After six years away, God led them back home—not to start over, but to continue and finish the work He placed in their hearts. Elim Tabernacle is the continuation of that assignment: A Place of Provision, A People of Purpose.

What We Believe & Value

Rooted in the Apostolic faith. Centered in Jesus Christ.

We are committed to the historic Apostolic Pentecostal witness of the New Testament: a Christ-centered, Spirit-filled church that honors Scripture, proclaims the Gospel, lives holy, prays fervently, praises sincerely and believes in the delivering power of Jesus Christ.

01

The Bible

We believe the Holy Scriptures are the inspired Word of God and the final authority for faith, doctrine and Christian living.

02

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is Lord, the Son of God, the Savior of the world and the center of our faith. We gladly worship, preach and serve Him while extending Christian fellowship to believers who faithfully confess His deity, lordship, saving work, death, burial and resurrection.

03

The Gospel

We proclaim the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and call every person to respond to the Gospel in faith and obedience.

04

New Birth

We believe the apostolic response of Acts 2:38: repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and the gift of the Holy Ghost.

05

Holy Ghost

We believe the Holy Ghost is for the Church today, empowering believers for worship, witness, transformation and victorious Christian living.

06

Holy Living

We believe holiness is the believer's response to a holy God, expressed through consecrated character, conduct, relationships and daily life.

07

Prayer & Intercession

We are committed to personal prayer, corporate prayer and intercession, seeking the face of God and standing in the gap for families, communities and those in need.

08

Sincere Praise

We believe praise should come from the heart and be offered freely unto God. We encourage rejoicing, lifting our voices and dancing before the Lord without shame.

09

Deliverance

We believe Jesus Christ still saves, heals, restores and delivers. Why should you die before your time, and why should you continue suffering while others are being healed? There is power in the name of Jesus, and freedom is still available.
